A couple of years ago, when Therese was 6 years old, I took the all the kids to the thrift store to buy some of the things they needed for their Halloween costumes. We had several other errands we had to do that day so as we parked in front of the store I said, “Okay everyone, we’re just going to run in, grab what we need, and run back out.” To which Therese replied, “You mean we’re going to steal what we need, Mama?!!”
