He that raises a large family does, indeed, while he lives to observe them, stand a broader mark for sorrow; but then he stands a broader mark for pleasure too. Benjamin Franklin
The Amazing Shoe Sisters mentally prepare for their most famous acrobatic feat!
Mary the Magnificent crouches in anticipation of the terrifying leap she will soon make. Note the look of fear on young Clara’s face.
And Mary flies through the air, clearing brave Clara’s head by mere centimeters, and lands safely on the couch. An amazing jump, folks! The Shoe Sisters have done it again!!

Man…how can you watch that?! I’m always sure these things will end in tragedy….you know it’s always fun till someone puts their eye out.. *makes a face*

Oh the girls stunts are way easier to watch than the ones the boys do. While no one has put an eye out – yet – the boys’ death-defying feats do often end tragically – you know, goose-eggs, knocked out teeth, bloody lips, broken windows, injured spectators – that sort of thing. I’m just thankful my kids are kinda wimpy and don’t seem to have a taste for truly death defying acts.
